The cheers may have faded, but the energy and sense of community from the Houston ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk still strongly persist. On September 7th, hundreds of participants, families, and advocates gathered at MacGregor Park, united by a common goal: to detect and fight against prostate cancer and support those impacted by this life-changing disease.

Oxford BioDynamics was honored to serve as a local sponsor for this event, standing alongside ZERO Prostate Cancer and Houston Metro Urology in the mission to increase screening and detection and to reduce prostate cancer deaths. This collaboration reflects our company's deep commitment to advancing personalized healthcare, particularly through our EpiSwitch® PSE, a 94% accurate blood test that offers a significant step forward in prostate cancer detection.

A Day of Community and Commitment

The event was more than just a race; it was a celebration of resilience and hope. The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk is a testament to the power of community in the fight against this disease, bringing together survivors, families, healthcare providers, and supporters. This year's race was no exception, with participants of all ages donning their running shoes and setting out to make a difference.

The funds raised from this event will support crucial research, education, and patient assistance programs, which are vital for the millions of men and loved ones affected by prostate cancer. One in eight fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, including 17,230 men in Texas this year alone. As a company, we are proud to contribute to these efforts, not only by sponsoring the event but also by providing support through our 94% accurate prostate cancer detection test that can help detect the disease earlier and give reassurance to the path forward.

The Houston ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk provided a platform to share this advancement with a wider audience, emphasizing the importance of early detection and personalized care in improving outcomes for men with prostate cancer. The event also allowed us to connect with local urologists and patient advocacy groups, fostering partnerships that are essential in the ongoing battle against this disease.

Detect the presence or absence of prostate cancer from blood with 94% accuracy. The PSE is a powerful screening test that identifies an individual’s current likelihood of having prostate cancer with just a routine blood test.
